Precision roller chains are divided into A and B series. A series is the size specification that meets the US chain standards. The B series is a dimensional specification that conforms to European (mainly British) chain standards. Except for the same pitch, the other series have their own characteristics. The main differences are:
1) The thickness of the inner link plate and the outer link plate of the A series products are equal, and the equal strength effect of static strength is obtained through different debugging. The B series products have the same internal and external chain board debugging, and obtain equal strength effects of static strength through different Baidus.
2) The main size and pitch of each component of the A series have a certain ratio. Such as: pin diameter = (5/16) P, roller diameter = (5/8) P, chain plate thickness = (1/8) P (P is the chain pitch), etc. However, there is no obvious ratio between the main size and the pitch of B series parts.
3) Comparison of the chain breaking load value of the same grade. Except for the 12B specification, the B series is lower than the A series. The product standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO9606: 1994, and its product specifications, dimensions, and pull load threshold values are completely consistent with international standards. Structural features: The chain consists of an inner link consisting of an inner link plate, a roller and a sleeve, and an outer link consisting of an outer link plate and a pin.
4) Product selection: The required chain specifications can be selected according to the power curve. If selected by calculation, the safety factor should be greater than 3.
